BotoxTM for urinary incontinence
- Botulinum-A toxin is licensed for a number of conditions (see link below). BotoxTM injections directly into the bladder are an alternative to invasive surgery for patients with disabling urge incontinence in whom conservative measures and conventional drugs have failed. Botox™ is not licencsed for this yet.
- Clinical studies with different dosages and injection protocols show success rates of 60-96% for neurologically damaged bladders (like MS) and non-neurological bladder overactivity (OAB wet). The treatment lasts 6-12 months. The drug is still under ongoing investigation.
- Mr Boustead can offer suitable patients BotoxTM therapy on a named patient basis. For more info click below

- The male sling may be suitable for men with post-prostatectomy urinary incontinence(MRS)
- TRT has the unique ability to be adjusted immediately after surgery and again at a later point if required.
